Catholic Priest Suspended For Rapping During Church Sermons (WATCH VIDEO)
A priest has been suspended by the Catholic Church in Kenya after he recently got into the limelight for using rap as means to attract youths to Church.
The 45-year-old priest Father Paul Ogallo, who was nicknamed “Sweet Paul”, had to “choose between being a rapper and a priest”.
It is understood that he has been using rap music to urge youth to stop using drugs and to get involved in environmental and social justice issues.
He recently hit media headlines over his unique way of preaching the gospel and discouraging social vices such as drug abuse.
However, the bishops of the diocese have rejected these practices, saying they are against Church doctrine.
The Diocese of Homa Bay also suspended the Priest for 12 months, with effect from June 3rd, 2018.
